What Good is Up
Or Does What Goes Down Always Go Up Again?
It is not only likely that when we make predictions we are wrong more often than we are right, it is probable. I like probability. Probability equations are fun. They tell you nothing much except what the laws of physics appear to be before you understand quantum theory. Quantum physics tells us that we make our own future. That’s right, you heard it here, we make our own future.
Unraveling the arcane facts about real future prospects is apparently not my Forte. All I can see for miles around my neighborhood are for sale signs that are showing signs of severe weathering. The home ownership numbers are shrinking and people are looking for work without much hope of making a living wage. Will the stimulus of huge cash infusions into the aorta of our economy actually restart the heart of the beast? Stay tuned!!!!While reading a book called Game Over by Stephen Leeb I chanced upon the idea of an “Absolute Peak,” for oil and commodities. Essentially what that means is the ants are running out of sand. Once all of the sand is used up they will no longer be able to build sand castles so kids can kick them down. Luckily there are a few empty houses here in the desert that they can rent for little or nothing or buy cheaply if they qualify.
It’s cold outside in most places in the northern hemisphere right now. Luckily it is warmer where I live. I can safely predict that the summer here will get hot and the winter will never get as cold as where I lived most of my life. Those are all my predictions for today.
Sorry there aren’t any more but I can’t consult my oracle, the groundhog. He has a new website and is too busy answering email from important people in the government and banking. Besides his new fame has gone to his head and he is branching out into selling mortgage backed securities. I wonder what he knows that I am missing?
